Hi, I’m Stephen Riley—thanks for stopping by.

After more than four decades in public service, including 26 years as Town Manager of Hilton Head Island, and with private sector experience in planning consulting, property appraisal and real estate, I launched this consulting practice to help communities, organizations, and leaders tackle the kinds of challenges I’ve spent a career solving. Whether it’s preparing for the unexpected, navigating a public-private partnership, or planning a redevelopment project, I bring a practical, hands-on approach rooted in real-world experience.

I’m also passionate about teaching and training—whether it’s mentoring emerging leaders, conducting workshops, or speaking at conferences. Sharing knowledge and helping others grow is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
